Had an ultrasound of Baby Gately at 19 weeks today. So I am pretty much at the halfway point. We aren't finding out what we are having. So I really have no clue. I don't have any major instincts, but if I had to guess I would say 70% boy, 30% girl. The fact that I already have a son might be weighing in on my point of view. Heartbeat is 132 bpm. Low just like my first little guy. We shall see. It looks like this one has the same juicy lips that my son had. When I saw the ultrasound of my son (who will be 3 this month) I noticed these gigantic lips...looks like we have a case of the lippies again. Due March 14 :).

Well, now that I have had my dr's appointment I can officially announce that we are giving my son a sibling!! I am very early, but the ultrasound was healthy and there was a quick little heartbeat, so I feel confident that this will go smoothly. My husband and I are not going to find out what we are having. We didn't find out with our son and it was really exciting to find out on the day of delivery. We like the element of surprise. :) So I am due on March 14. I am booked every weekend with weddings up until December 21st. I will not be taking anymore weddings in 2008 and my first wedding of 2009 will be on May 2nd. Here's to a long 8 more months!!!!

What an incredible week my husband and I had in the Canadian Rockies. We stayed at the Emerald Lake Lodge in Yoho National Park from May 24-29. The Emerald Lake Lodge is right over the Alberta border into British Columbia. IT IS INSANELY beautiful. Individual, cozy lake view cabins equipped with wood-burning fireplaces overlooking the Emerald Lake. The first few days it was about 50 degrees and a bit gloomy, but the skies opened up and the last three days were full of sun and 70 degree weather. Lake Louise and Lake Morraine were still frozen and slushy, but the Emerald lake was completely free of ice. My husband (Michael) and I went on incredible hikes. We would start out in grass and end up high on a mountain thigh-deep in snow.
If you ever go to the Canadian Rockies there is nothing better than the Emerald Lake Lodge. We visited Banff and Lake Louise and all surrounding areas and there is something just special about Emerald Lake. The other areas are fun for shopping and eating, but if you want a cozy and warm place to stay with the best staff ever go to Emerald Lake Lodge. We met some young couples who were on their honeymoon or just getting away. We spent a few nights in the lounge and around the fire pit surrounded by mountains and stars laughing with couples from England, Austin, Ft. Lauderdale, and Edmonton. Talk about a flurry of accents. By the end of the trip Michael was telling everyone he was having a "Lovely Holiday" and our English friends were saying that their "Vacation was awesome." Hazel and Pete....if you are out there and checking my BLOG....EMAIL ME :). Our other friends Megan and Clint are vacationing for a few more weeks. Hey guys, when you get back shoot me an e-mail, too. I have some pictures for you.
We will definitely be back!
Below are some pictures from our week. If any photographers out there are going for the first time, feel free to e-mail me to get some ideas on where to go!
